Definitely they must be alive. No plastic. Waterlilies for Monet and sunflower for Van Gogh and for myself Victoria Regia (probably the largest marine flower found in the Amazon.
Mcdougals. Alinson's is a bit pricey, and the tesco own stuff i find a bit lumpy. I usually go for self raising, its a lot easier.

Alyssum it is a lovely white flower used in borders a lot. It smells nice too.

Primrose, it always brings back memories of some happy times in my grandmothers garden. Her house was called Primrose Hill, on a small island off the coast of England. The terraced gardens were a mass of primroses in the spring and people would stop to admire them. Wherever I live I try to have some primroses in the garden but it's almost impossible to find natural ones nowadays.
