What's the difference between an all-gas and a dual-fuel range?
Answers:
I know that all the new ranges that burn LP gas have the electronic ingitions. The older LP/natural gas stoves use polit lights that burn continusly. The newer stoves use electricity to ignite the burners which use the LP (liquified petroleum) gas. The clocks/timers/lights are also powered by electricity.
As for the dual fuel being LP or natural gas.. you USED to be able to change the jets in the burners to transform from one fuel to the other, however, I think you have to buy the stoves for a specific fuel. This applies to heaters as well.
Hope this helps..

I'm pretty sure dual fuel means that you would have a gas stove top and an electric oven. You might have to specify which gas you are using, lp or ng, when you buy the stove, ask your salesperson. A lot of the time the oven will then be an electric convection oven, which many people prefer to conventional electric or gas. That way you can take advantage of both worlds, the convection oven and the responsiveness of a gas stove top.
