Imagine a carpet or floor tile that is 1 foot long and 1 foot wide. Imagine how these would look when laid out on your floor. If you count the tiles you get the area in square footage. Good luck
Go to a large store such as Home Depot or Lowes or a supermarket where you can see one foot tiles. each one represents one square foot. 10 in a row are 10 square feet. 10 in a row and in a line are 100 square feet. 3 in a row and a line are 9 square feet. Conceptualized yet?
If you are trying to dingure out how big say 100 square feet is, go outside in the yard, stake out an are 10x10. That is 100 square feet.
