I have 1.5 year old refrigerator. The freezer part is not freezing, it's working as a refrigerator only. Why?
Answers:
The timer is not giving contact to the heater in the evaporator coil, there is ice in the evaporator coil which does not melt, or, the heater has blown off.
Put off the mains for around two to three hours then start and check if the freezer is getting cold.
If the freezer is working then the problem is of the timer, defrost switch or the heater

Do you cram a lot of stuff in the freezer and blocking the motor that cools everything?

It's the lord's way of telling you to turn it into a Keg-erator!
Since the same unit cools both sections, the chances are the little fan that blows the air into the freezer has quit running, or you have food blocking the vents that lets the cold air in. The other possibility, if you have a light in the freezer (some of them do have lights now), the switch that is supposed to turn it off is broken and it's staying on and keeping the freezer warm. Call in a repairman in any case, and they can fix it.
The refrigeration compartment is cooled by the freezer. The control to the refrigerator usually opens a door to allow more cold air in from the freezer compartment. Try turning up the thermostat in the freezer. If that dosen't help, there could be several things wrong. Check and make sure that its clean underneath and behind. Dust build up can cause a problem..
check controls to see if it is set properly..
then look way at the back inside the fridge...you will see a little thingy..drop a small amout of food colouring in this tiny spout and check the tray under the fridge or behing the fridge to see if the dye made it all the way from the small funnel spout thingy to the bottom of the fridge
is the motor cycling on and off?
the thermostate is probably broken
