How to drain a waterbed???

Does anyone know how to drain a waterbed? It is in my basement, on the floor??? When we filled it we ran the garden hose downstairs and filled it, now don't know how to empty it?

Answers:
jab some sissors into it.

Other answers:
Go to a waterbed store and by the draining connection. It's only about 10 bucks. It's very easy.

Take the garden hose connect it to the bladder and start sucking the water out the other end. It will drain this way...make sure you stop sucking right before the water comes out
my mom used a water hose. she would stick in the bed and the other end out the window. hope it works, if not well least you get to play in the water!
buy the wet vac from Home Depot and suck water out 1 bucket at the time.
If you have a drain in the basement, just drain it that way. If you don't, you could get a couple of buckets and do it that way but it will be a lot of work. Most have a drain in the basement but if not, get the buckets. One other way, if you have a water pump that you could hook up to the bed, you could do it that way and just direct the discharge hose out the window. Good luck
I had the same problem. You will need a pump to get it outside at ground level.

Go to a tool rental store. They rent a pump you can put between two hoses. Connect a hose to the water bed, connect the pump, connect another hose running outside & let the pump do the worm.
They sell an attachment at most hardware stores that goes on the end of your garden hose, it has a switch on it that allows water to flow in or to be sucked out, all you do is turn water on at spigot, adjust switch, and the work is done for you. Used to use it when cleaning fish aquariums.
