how does one remove scratches from mirrored surfaces?

by scratches do you mean that the glass is scratched or the shiny mirror coating on the back is scratched. I refinished a dresser some time back and when I went to have the mirror fixed the dealer said that it would be cheaper to just replace it. It was an odd shape so I just decided to replace it. If the scratch is on the back surface, it's hard to make it look flawless.

You can get a bottle of glass polish at a auto parts store.

I would say your best bet would have the glass replaced or just buy a new mirror.
i heard that if you anmonia or something like that, that it should help out with getting rid of the scratches in your mirror. and if not go or call someone who might know.
