Mouse surrounded by the house!?

Eek, Hubby just notice a hole in the runner by the cupboard under the stairs, pulled it final and there is a hole contained by the floorboards too so obviously a mouse somewhere. What do we do immediately?
Have phoned Environmental Health (we rent a council house) but they can't do anything until tomorrow as it's not an emergency. Well, it's an emergency to me! And we've got a dog, he never even notice it!


Answers:    Good idea going on for nailing the article in the hole, if thats where on earth it was, what if its still within the house???? You've gone and nailed it contained by the house!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I wouldn't worry too much, if they are coming tomorrow you should be ok.
virtuous old fashioned mouse trap and cheese. or for the time self, put something heavy over the top of the hole.
