I inherited a futon which I always use as a couch. How do I convert it to a bed?

You normally can lift up the front of the futon, and then pull the front out tell it flattens out then place the front back down onto the bars that it rests on.
To place it back up lift the front tell it click's the futon should then lock into the "couch" position and set the front back down onto the supporting bar.
