Why does my 20lb. propane tank not empty all the way? When its about half empty I run out of gas. What gives?

I suspect it is the regulator. If the tank still has liquid in it and its not really cold the tank should provide the gas for a grill. Check the regulator on the grill and the valve on the tank.
