Can ants come from upstairs to downstairs? please help?
Answers:
Ants can get in from anywhere and they are insane-tenacious. I have had some bad ant experiences. One word: RAID.

You know come to think of it I have never seen an ant go dowstairs.

They would have had to come from the downstairs first to get to the upstairs. Chances are they are in the walls.
Ants will go anywhere where there is food (or traces of food laying around). If you see a line of ants, then follow that line to the food source. If you see just traces of ants, then kill it and don't get overly alarmed.
Yup they sure can travel.
of course they can! they can carry something like 10x their own weight so I'm sure they are capable of descending things! They are strong little buggers!
I would imagine. They will travel far distances for food. Try cleaning up your place (and keep it clean) and then spray some raid.
Tell your roomie to go outside and watch the ants climb up a tree or the outside of the house.
Of course they can go from downstairs to upstairs. If they can climb a tree with the rough bark they can certainly climb up a wall with relatively smooth texture.
yes they can they can travel where ever.
Ants are an oddity and travel wherever they smell an attractive odor. Whether it's food, soda, tea coffee, and even water. Just pour plain cinnamon in the inside perimeter of your cabinets, or fresh or used coffee.
Only if they have an elevator.....
Seriously, they can climb upstairs on the outside make their way in and then go where ever the hell they please. You need to get ant bait from your local pesticide supplier. Hurry
duh their ants they come from everywhere and anywhere. Guess you better call Terminex
My suggestion is to move. They've probably created a nest the size of Rhode Island behind the walls and will infiltrate your confines until you leave. Soon you will have ants in your bed, clothes, etc. Then you'll be so frustrated that you will end up jumping off the rooftop to a timely death. Who really wants that hanging over their head...:)
Ps..I'm just kidding...Have a nice day!
They came in downstairs. Someone is taking food upstairs is why it looks like they came from upstairs.
If you look along the baseboards in the kitchen, you will find where they are coming from (probably outside). If you DON'T carry food all over the house, they don't have anything to eat and will go away. Now you may have to call in an exterminator.
