In regard to memory foam mattress toppers, is 2" thick enough or should it be 3-4"? Where is the best buy?

THE THICKER THE NOT BETTER YOU WILL END UP SLEEPING IN A HOLE THE MEMORY FOAM IS NOT SUPPORTAVE I MEAN IT COLAPSES WHEN YOU SIT ON IT SO IN MY EXPERIANCE THE 2" IS REAL GOOD.
My sweetie has a 2" and it works great.
