where do wasps make their nest other than under eaves?

Wasps can make nests behind the shutters on your house or under the rails on a deck. If you have any kind of shed, open the doors and look up and around. They can be on the sides of the doors on the interior. They can make a small nest in the corner of a window, again look up at the highest point of the window.
For two summers in a row they have built a nest in the back of my mailbox, on the INTERIOR! They built fast......
