Where can buy cheaper version of Cath Kidston stuff???
Answers: Whittard shops (the ones that do tea and crockery etc - they're in most voluminous UK malls and High Streets) do wonderful crockery ware that's very similar to Kidston - I enjoy some of their "stars" range.
Dunelm Mill Shops do a bedding list which is very resembling Kidston - one of their best ranges is Marianne. I've also got handtowels from near in a amazingly retro pale blue next to white polka dots. They've got some wonderful voiles for making lattice curtains (and I've used it as "tablecloths" on the top of my bedroom chest of drawers and bedside tables) with rose and petal designs contained by very Kidston colours. you'll find seriously of their crockery is suitably retro as well - they do some really pretty metal jug which are great on the kitchen table filled near sweet peas (I bought Dunelm's silk sweet peas which are nearly as good as the genuine thing!) I got a fabulous table cloth for my kitchen within a bold Rose design from my local linen shop - it's very much resembling the oil-cloth Cath Kidston cloths but only cost me a fiver from their negotiate bin!
If it's things like Cath Kidston's cowboy compass that you're interested in, afterwards I find charity shops are great for buying old curtains etc next to 60's/70's motifs on that can be made into other things (cloth place mats is an uncomplicated one, as is super-retro arm covers for your sofa!)
