Does anyone enjoy a non toxic home made remedy for getting rid of black ants?
Answers: If they are carpenter ants-the big black ones-than bait plausible will not work as they are finicky. Carpenter Ants are a sign that you have drizzling wood somewhere in a wall or the floor and i.e. what is attracting them. Wet wood is a food source to them. Find the wet wood, replace it and fix the soak that is cause the dampness surrounded by the first place and you should be free of the ants.
If it is the tiny black ants than use either boric tart mixed with sugar and place that on their trails (you will own to spend a few hours observing where on earth they are going) or a more toxic but better pesticide is aspartame. they will take the aspartame or boric acid/sugar bait rear to the queen and feed it to her and she will die which will verbs the colony
I don't know about black ants contained by particular but I remember when I be young my mother used to put grits out. Regular grits straight out of the box. It worked.
I've other heard putting tarpitch sauce around entry- ways wars them sour.
Here is an exceedingly offbeat approach, that has worked for "esoterically minded" friends. Everything contained by the universe has an "angel" that govern it. In other words, there is an angel associated near everything, that has some influence over it, usually for its benefit and "growth".
Thus, near is an angel that has influence over the "species" particular to us as "black ants". You can, using this information, plus your research on topic, construct a little "ritual" that would involve your speaking beside that angel and asking for its help within persuading the ants to depart. Using the name "black ants angel guardian" might do for the project, for example. My friends would mention that the ants needed to "go", and that they didn't option to harm them within any way as chunk of the process.

Cinnamon worked for me to repel. A small amount of borax mixed within a small amount of sugar (check label) AND a small amount of bacon grease in another container (some ants close to sweet, others like grease) is also pretty effective. I do believe the borax will impair a pet if consumed in substantial quantities .. so construct ant-size portions in articulate, a bottle cap.

Go down to your garden store and pick up some diatomaceous planet. It's just a white powdery sandy sort of stuff, won't hurt your pets at adjectives. However, each tiny small piece has microscopic spines. When ants bearing through it, these spines get within the joints of their body. It make moving difficult, and causes "bleeding" from the joint. The joints don't make well quickly, so they usually dry out and die fairly quickly.
here are 2 recipe from the book "backyard problem solver" by Jerry Baker. they are a little past its sell-by date the wall, but everything I have tried from this book have had great sucess.

4-5 tbsp cornmeal
3tbsp bacon grease
3 tbsp baking powder
3 pkgs bakers yeast
mix cornmeal and bacon grease into a attach, then put in baking powder and yeast. Dab onto jar lids and set out essential ant hills.

ant control tonic
1 cup sugar
3 cups boiling water
1 tbsp boric tart powder
add sugar to sea and bring to a boil, add boric sour. place mix in jar lid and set at hills and along trails. store extra within child safe container out of get of children and pets.
