I have some china that has been passed through the family. How can I keep them perfect with no cabinet?
Answers:
Perhaps you can build a shelf that you can display some of your dishes on. For the rest of the collection, I would keep them packed away until you want to use them. I do this with my collection of Blue Willow dishes and for the past 25 years it seems to be working.

get one of those big plastic containers from walmart? the ones that you can stick clothes or kids toys or whatever in them. I think they're like 33 or 35 gallon containers. line the inside of the container with some protective matreial wheter it be old linens or bubble wrap or whatever. wrap each plate or piece in cloth like an old towel or something and lay each in the box flat and continue until done. then just store in the basement off the ground floor, and you should be good.

Go to a local wood shop and have them build a custom create for your collection.
