How can I get my house to sell quickly?

Our house has been for sale for about 3 months now and we REALLY want it to sell soon so we can move back to our home state. The market here is slow... a lot of houses for sale and not many buyers. We have fixed our house all up - it's almost completely remodeled. What can I do to make it sell quickly - any ideas????

After dealing with realtors in the past & getting nowhere,It just seemed easier to sell my house myself. I could sell it at a better (cheaper) more attractive price & I was able to arrange viewings at what was the most convient time for ME & the buyers(not the realtor's schedule). I made several appointments on the same day. Once the house is as ready as it's going to get, it makes sense to devote an entire day or days in a concentrated effort. It doesn't hurt for a prospective buyer to notice that you've just finished showing the house to someone else. That ups the ante for them, because if they're interested, they've got to be thinking: "someone else might make an offer before I get a chance."

I had advertised in one different paper each week but I made my sell from the free ad in the Bargain Hunter. Maybe you have a similar paper in your town. You can also go to the on-line companies like http:// www.buyowner.com or Do June bugs bite?? I have a lot around my yard and worried they may bite my daughter.?
