Why are we finding many dead bees this year for the first time ever and why are they so large?

Answers:
lack of food, perhaps a colony of bees fought off another colony trying to take over the hive (that happens).
perhaps someone poisoned the hive and what you are finding are the last ones to fly away, only to die.

what do you mean large? there are several species of bees. some small some large.

Other answers:
these past few years have been drought years in many areas and massive flooding in others,, no flowers or washed out flowers mean no honey so the bees are dying after using up all their reserves
