Also, take down all personal pictures, patch the holes from the nails and repaint that area so that it is a clear area. People when they come into a home like to see what possibilites there are for fixing up a home the way they want to fix it up. If houses have been on the market for awhile near you be prepared. If you are moving because of a transfer your company should be offering to help you by agreeing to buy the house from you should it not sell in a reasonable amount of time - like 3 to 6 months. What is the problem. The proceeds of the sale of your house will normally payoff the mortgage with you netting the balance of the selling price as your equity. The length of time you have had your mortgage shouldn't make any difference.
