why doesn't my AMANA refrigerater defrost?



Answers:
defrost timer located SOMEEHERE on that fridge is probably broke. There will be a wiring diagram SOEWHERE on that fridge that would show you where the timer is.

Either the timer is shot, the defrost element, or some other electrical part.

Call a repairman or rip into it if you are handy with a voltmeter

Is it supposed to be frost-free? Older models were not always frost-free so if it is old you may have to defrost it manually.
