Specifically, it's a party for someone who is moving out on their own for the first time. Instead of gifts that you would buy for a typical housewarming shindig, you would buy household items. Like detergent, mops, etc. Someone threw one these parties for me when I moved out of my parents house but I cant remember what it be called.
