Why do my dishes have sand on them when they come out of the dishwasher?
Answers:
I do know there is a line that runs from the dishwasher that can get crimped, and if that happens, food particles can start backing up in the line, and re-deposited on your dishes. I wish I had advice for how to fix the problem, if that's what it is, but I don't. The line might need to be replaced.

I don't know. Maybe there is like salt inside the dishwasher. It could be you know.

You either have hard water deposits and need a prefilter system or your water in the dishwasher isn't hot enough. I would also recommend using a higher priced name brand dishwasher detergent like, Cascade. Good luck
Are you on a well? I had sand in my water once and it was due to a cracked pipe coming from the well. Check all your water to make sure there isn't sand coming from all the taps. Fill a glass and let is sit to see what settles or run the water through a coffee filter and see what stays in the filter.
I think you need a filter on your fill line. If it really is sand it has to be coming from your water.
If it is sand then you must be on a well and that means that your pump is too close to the bottom. These are usually tied up with ropes and over time the rope will stretch. This of course means that you have sand in you hot water heater and everywhere else in your water system. Not that bad of a problem though - just flush it out good and remove all the screens out of your faucets and washer and clean.
