I do not have pets but I have fleas in my house and would like to know how to get rid of them without bombing?
Answers:
I was told that salt just spinkle plain table salt all over everywhere it worked for me. Bombing didn't and salt did. Cheap too.

You have to bomb. You also have to bomb under the house. If you don't have pets then they are coming from outside. And the clean up after bombing isn't half as hard as it sounds.

try using sevin dust..you can find it at most places...usually in the garden area...
Sprinkle on carpet (if you have carpet) and wait a little bit then vacuum.
I have a dog and occasionally have a flea problem. I checked with my vet and purchased a spray especially for the fleas and their eggs. It's important to get the eggs too. I had to spray the furniture, carpets, underneath furniture, and anywhere there is carpeting. The spray was expensive, but it was well worth it. You might want to look into why you have fleas if there are no pets. Are there visiting animals or do you visit where animals are??
If the flees are not biting you, then they have another food source. SO, the first step would be to remove their food (for example, mice). After that you have to kill the adults and CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN. After about two weeks, the eggs that are left will begin to hatch again so dust and clean again before you see more flees. If at all possible replacing the carpet after you dust will help remove the remaining eggs. SORRY, it's NOT easy. Moving sounds easier.
go to your local feed and seed supplier. buy the blue bottle of adam's flea dip. mix half of the bottle with one gallon of water in a sprayer. you can spray this on carpet and upholstery. you will need to re-spray every two weeks for a while as that is how long the eggs can live and hatch. this should work. i've always had great results with this stuff.
