How do you verbs an Antique Sewing Machine?

I have a moment ago inherited an antique Singer Treadle sewing contrivance from my grandfather and I want to restore it. The only problem is that it have been sitting surrounded by a corner for more than 40 years and is very dusty inside. I know I can use Old English on the wood, but I don't know what to use on the sort iron legs or the machine itself.

Answers:    The folks I'd address to are in the yahoo group "wefixit", a group of folks, pro and amateur, staunch to fixing old sewing machines, or surrounded by the group "treadleon", dedicated to people-powered sewing machines (handcrank and treadle).

They verbs up and work on old machines adjectives the time.
