Punxsutawney Phil?

i have just moved into a new house next to a park and there is a monstous sized groundhog taking up residence under my porch...well porch made of concrete.. not sure if he is actually UNDER it but he has quite a tunnel system around it. is he harmful in anyway or can we just live and let live

Answers:
Call your local aninmal control agent to come and set a trap and remove him and if they wont do it call your local conservation dept. They could eventually cause problems with water leaks around the foundation of your home. More a henderance than anything else. Its the same with chipmunks, gofers etc;
Good luck!

Other answers:
usually they are not harmful except if you have a garden to which the groundhog will just eat everything on it.
