What can I put within plastic storage totes to deter moths & spiders from getting into my out of season clothes?

Answers:    place in an nouns tight container, then use some lavender branches or basil, this will work.A product call moth away will work.but if you want your clothes to smell like your grandmothers use moth ball.
Either use a large backpack with an airtight closure or plastic tubs near tight lids.
I preserve all my off-season clothes surrounded by totes and I've never had a problem beside them getting in. As long as the lid are on tight, this shouldn't be an issue.
If the containers do not have tight fitting lid or if they contain holes, use Moth Balls.
Cedar wood has oil that naturally keep these pests away, and it smells pleasant. Mothballs are always an pick, but they stink. I believe they sell cedar ball or wood pieces near the mothballs. That's why they net cedar closests. Good luck!
I agree cedar blocks work well, and the best portion is they can last for years if you sand them give or take a few every 6 months or so to continually allow the natural oil to come to the surface. The small amount of oil will not smash up wool or cashmere, but is enough to hold on to bugs away..
