How do you stop a hybiscus from dying?

Maybe it's getting little light. . . it could also be because of lack of food.
If it's in a shady place, place it in a lighted place. And try to give it some play food and water.

They should be kept in partial shade and watered about everyday. And not be turned if they are still in a pot.
It may be getting too much or too little water. The best water to give plants is rain water. Water from your faucet contains chlorine. Also, try giving some Miracle Grow.
If it's getting too much sun and heat, put it in a shady area. If it's indoors, take it outside.
Yellow leaves could mean a number of things. If it was surviving fine until just now, it might be an underwatering problem. The whole country is going through a heat problem, so it could be dry. Check the leaves --if they are yellow with green veins or green spots before they fall off, then it's probably a nutritional problem, and all you need to do is fertilize. If a whole branch goes yellow and dies very rapidly, then it's probably a virus or a bacteria, and the only thing you can do is keep if comfortable while it dies. If it is still flowering, that's a good sign. Fertilize it and see what happens.
