cheapest way to build a fence?

I need to keep the neighbors dogs out and my 4 year old granddaughter in. I also have to have a gate attached to drive my car in and out of the property. What is the best and cheapest way to have this done?

Chain link is the cheapest way to fence in your property. The thing I like about chain link is that it's virtually maintenance free. You can purchase a variety of sizes, and styles of gates for almost any type of entry way. The thing most people don't like about chain like is the look of it. What you can do is buy those plastic strips that slip inbetween the chain links for privacy, and a better look, but those are expensive. What we did was plant a hedge approx. 2ft. from the fenceline, on the side of the fence that was visible from the house. After a few years the hedge was tall enough so that we couldn't see the fence from the house. As the hedge grows full it grows into the chain link, which make the fence look almost invisible.
