how do you keep your house cool when ur air cond. can't pump out enough cold air to compete with the heat?

We open all of the doors and windows in the house at 5:30 in the morning. The house usually cools off to the outside temp, then we close it up and draw the blinds to keep out as much solar heating. We don't even turn our AC on until about 3 in the afternoon. Saves us money and hassle.

Put the a.c. on the north side of the house that would be the coolest side or in a window that is shaded. keep the drapes drawn. If you have a lot of running in and out try to stop the traffic flow. Or you may need a larger system for the size of your house.
