can you freeze green beans right after you pick them from your garden?
Answers:
You need to blanch them first: Heat water to boiling, put the beans in a colander or some such thing, put them in the boiling water, bring the beans back to the boil, then pull the colander out and put them straight into the coldest water you have till they are cooled down a bit, drain them well, then package them up and freeze. Don't try to freeze them straight out of the garden, you have to process them this little bit first to stop the enzymes in them.
Other answers:
Isn't that the best time? Freeze them while they're fresh.
