my pool water stays cloudy and green, use pump around clock,shock it and chlorine.What am I doing wrong?

their could be many reason as i am fighting this problem air going through you pump (above ground pools)make sure you have no leaks and the hoses are air tight.
If you see or feel any green or slimy stuff on the bottom or you water has a hent
of green buy some algea stuff do it before it get bad you can buy a big gallon jug at walmart for about $4-5 dollars.
check your water levels make sure your chlorine is not to high or to low or your ph if it is adjust it
Make sure your filter is clean if not put a new filter in it if it is a little dirty you can clean it.
run a vacuum on your pool at least once a week this help get all the dirt that get in your pool.
if it really really bad you may need to drain your pool a little and then add new water.
if your not sure of what the right chemicals are for your pool talk to some one who know about chemicals take them a sample of your water and they can test it for you and let you know the right chemicals you need for you pool

i put my pump on a timer for at least 4-5 hours a day and if u put it on for too long (like all day)....it will always stay cloudy.........and i put a cover on it so stuff doesn't get in it.....when that happened to me.....i used a pool vacume and vacumed it up.....but i don't turn the pump on the day before i vacume it so the stuff goes to the bottom.....
go to the pool store and ask for this stuff sorry forgot the name you put it in and it get crystal clear in about and hour it amazing good luck..
