Where do you hide a key outside your house?

At the neighbor's: if it is found, it won't fit that house

Why would I tell you?
Why would I tell you?
I don't.
I hide my key in a place that is close to the door, but not obvious to any else.
Everytime I go out, I hide my key inside my pocket
I don't. Most smart thieves bet on the fact that people hide keys in obvious (and even not-so-obvious) places.
It's a bad idea, just don't do it. Give a copy to a neighbor you trust and keep a copy on you, but don't hide one.
if I tell you I'll have to hide it elsewhere ! lol
In my car.
I don't hide a key, but I would probably put in somewhere in my garden so that it would be difficult to find!
Try sticking it inbetween the gutter and the side of your house. The doormat and under a fake rock are way too popular. If I wanted to get in your house those would be the first places I would look.
I have friends who have a little box that they bury right next to the sidewalk so that if they ever forget, they have it hidden but handy. Another friend has it in a flowerpot, and somewhere out back wouldn't be too bad of an idea, you can get an artificial rock and camoflauge it (the key inside). Or you can just go to home depot or something and buy the touchpad and install it into the door so that you dont even need a key, we have it and it works great
All sorts of places-under a rock, in a potted plant, taped behind a piece of outside art...Anywhere except under the door mat or on the small "lip" that hangs over the door frame. That is where the burglers are hoping you will put it...
If you have a dog, put a nail up in the top of his doghouse and hang it there. This is expecially good if the dog is a great watchdog.
I don't lock my house, so I've no need to hide a key. We live way out in the country and the rottweilers curtail the need for keys and locks! I do have a key on my key ring just in case the door is accidently locked.
