Does blasting make a building structurally unsound?

I live next to a quarry that blasts about 3-4 times a week. The house is two and a half years old now and has been enduring the blasts quite well. Will the blasting from the quarry eventually take it's toll on my house and if so how long will it take? Also, the house is built on a slab.

Answers:
I lived in a house when I was growing up that was about 1/4 mile from a quarry. They blasted every day at 12:00, and continue to do so. My parents still live there, and it's still structurally sound....there are, however a few cracks around the corners of the ceiling that could be repaired. As far as I know the "damage" is all cosmetic. By the way, the house is now 30 years old. Maybe you could check with an inspector just to be sure.

Other answers:
It could have a affect on your house, but the good thing is that that quarry could be liable to fix anything that happens. Talk to your local building inspector.
