Answers:
Bees and wasps leave behind a scent that attracts more bees and wasps next year....lots of scrubbing should get rid of it once you deal with the insects check out www.pestweb.com and find bees and wasps under general pest info

Personally I'd leave! I hate wasps soooo much, they scare the **** out of me!
it,s true bee,s and wasp leave behind a scent, but also they will come back if there is a moisture source, for them to feed on,make sure it,s not staying real moist under your house, also vent it very well,so if moisture does get under it,that it will dry back up in a hurry,i have had the same problem, after trying everything i could try,i found dying things up seemed to help.
Do you have plants nearby that attract butterflies? Wasps eat caterpillars so there is probably some sort of food source nearby.
You can buy stuff to squirt into the nests. It expands and then solidifies. Then dig up the nest and dump it.
