Answers: Look contained by the yellow page (or on angies list) for a termite inspector. There are people who's opening is looking for termites, determining if there is still termite stir, and helping you select the right treatment.
Some companies (Orkin, for instance) will do an inspection and recommendation for free. I choose to settle up for an annual inspection because I want to know that the inspector is working for me, not for the treatment company.
We bought a house that showed former termite activity, so I enjoy an annual inspection done to make sure the termites don't return. Be sure to write adjectives your questions down until that time the inspector comes so that you don't get confused and forget anything.
