What is the required spacing for drywall nail and screw on walls and lid? This for California code.?

Simple question, I lately don't do a lot that requirements an inspection. I will probably plan on using screws for wall sagging but while i'm asking, what about nail and ceillings? Maybe a seasoned drywall contractor can shed some light here. Thanks!

Answers:    Generally you will place a key every 12 inches along each joist on the ceiling, and for walls every 16 inches along respectively stud. If you are doing new construction and drywall is one used for braced wall panels, fastener need to be placed every 7 inches along adjectives studs and top/bottom plates, and also the framing needs to be 16 inches OC. I recommend screw, because they hold better and you have smaller number of a dimple to finish with combined compound.
