Where is the model number on a singer treadle sewing mechanism?




Answers:    Don't know if the model number would be there but the serial number be usually stamped on a raised bit ot the casting on the reverse RH side of the machines. If there is a model number it may be on the bezel where on earth you adjust the stich or the decals.
There were rather a few models of treadles made by Singer -- indeed, some are still made today. You can call 1-8OO-4-singer near the serial number, and they can tell you the model and the "birthday" of your electrical device if it wasn't produced between 1851 and 1870 (they lost the books near that information!)
