Is there anything that can be done about ice crystals forming on food in the freezer.?

this was my prob before until i started putting freezer foods in zip-locked bags and plastic containers that are air tight. try it.

throw the food out get a new frost free feezer

dont leave the foiod in the feezer long
Raise the temp of your freezer setting, and wrap food well.
remove as much air from the packages as possible...ice is coming from the air
Thow the food away and trun down you freezer
As another person said "it is from the air, forming ice crystals", get a good vacuum sealer. @ $100.00. If your like me, a 2 person household and always have left overs, and we buy in bulk AND go camping alot,it may be worth the $
Buy some freezer bags (Hefty i believe makes good ones) and if your items can fit inside, keep them in a bag, and they will not get frost on them. it really works!
# 1 If your concerned about ice cream getting frost on it you can turn the ice cream container upside down to elimintate the frost. #2 your door seal on your freezer door is leaking air into your freezer causing the air to freeze and build up in your freezer. From Tim
