Does anyone know whether you get tax relief on you wages once you buy a property?

I have just purchased my first house and someone told me you can get tax relief on your wages. I'm not sure if that only applies to someone who has paid stamp duty. I haven't paid stamp duty as I bought the house at £104K. Any comments/answer would be grately appreciated.

Answers:
Buying a house does not affect your wages from work. However you do gain a tax deduction. You can deduct all the interest on your home loan which adds quite a bit to your refund. Hope this helps.

easiest way to find out is to wither call the dreaded tax man (LOL!) or go to the website - used to be inlandrevenue.gov.uk, but not sure what it would be now as they are called HM Revenue and Customs now. I dont remember hearing anything about it but the website should have more info!
