How do you get pine sap off of your skin?

I am always working outside and if I pick up one of the pine cones in my yard I get pine sap all over my hands. Is there any way to get rid of it?I have tried soaking my hands with soap and water and it never works.

Answers:
Try wearing work-gloves, but I have heard using things like nail polish removals, paint removals, Witch Hazel, even Mayo!

Other answers:
you can try regular lighter fluid that they use for zippo lighters. just remember to wash that off right away.

Rub peanut butter on your hands wherever the sap is, it will come right off, then just wash your hands.
Try fingernail polish remover or hairspray.
Try Gojo hand soap with pumice. It has a petroleum smelling base to it, and works well for mechanics working with oil. Very good at cleaning, and does not beat up your hands.
lighter fluid..or WD 40
Yes use a small cup of gas and be prepared to wash your hands with water and soap right after. Another thing make sure you do this outside. I grew up in the woods and that is how I took care of the problem.
use paint remover or thiner or tupertine. if you really need help fast and dont want to spent money. suck out some petrol or diesel from your car or other people car. hurry.
