Adapter for dryer plug within?

I just bought a dryer and the plug have three prongs on it but my apartment has a four pronged outlet. Is at hand an adapter I can buy to fix this or will the three pronged connection fit into the one surrounded by my apartment. *the dryer has all the same to be delivered...


Answers:    The apartment is wired for 2 power lead, one neutral and a separate ground. The dryer is set up for 2 power lead, and a combined neutral and ground. Simplest fix is to move about to the store and get a different power lead for the dryer and swap it out. Keep the aged one in luggage you move again and need it, Just cartridge it to the back of the dryer next to duck tape. If you do not trust your self around the electrical, see if the dryer company or the apartment will swap them out for you.
Most NEW dryers and ranges do not come beside a cord, so maybe the installer will rob care of it for you.
