How do I get rid of a fine silt the filter isn't catching in my above ground pool?

I've tried vacuuming to waste and it helps a little. When I go to vacuum it the silt dissapates in the water and then settles again when I'm done. Any suggestions.

Try a clarifier. It is a chemical that causes material too fine for the filter to coagulate into larger granules that the filter will catch and remove.The remainder will fall to the bottom and can be vacuumed out.
