Why don't electric fans cool you down?

Spray water on your face and sit in front of it. The evaporating water will pull the heat away. That is why we perspire.
They just curculate the hot air i agree they are a waste of time.

All that is going on is the moisture on your skin reacting to the air movement,not a cooling down.Also the heat from the fan motor heats the room area.
They blow hot air around, that's all!
