I have a deck on the spinal column of my house that is pretty big up. I am worried that one of my young clildren will tumble down the stairs. I would similar to to build a swing gate that will lock from the outside. Can anyone hint a place to get some design aid or tell me how to build one.
The railing on the deck is standard 2 inch square balusters sandwich between 1 by fours on the top and bottom and topped with a one by six handrail.
I'm looking for a total admission money design that will be structurally sound but clash the rest of the deck.

I suggest taking your problem to a paling company or talk to some local building contractors roughly speaking building and installing the gate.
