Must we feed Wasps Ice cream and Beer?
Answers:
Is that true? I thought they were attracted to ice cream and beer cos they are genetically programmed to look for sweet stuff ( and its easier to land on someone's icecream and eat it than get stuff out of flowers)
You can die from anaphylactic shock after a wasp or bee sting if you're really unlucky

If you read the article again, it doesn't actually say that the beer and ice cream is making wasp stings more toxic. All it says is that more of us are becoming allergic to the stings.
They did say that there is less natural food available so they are hungry enough to eat our food, otherwise they would continue to avoid us.
There may well be a correlation, or it could be the effect of some kind of pollution making people more prone to allergies. More research is required.

People with allergies can die of anaphylactic shock, but typically they are not dangerous. A sting to the inside of the mouth culd lead to a swollen throat, so be careful when taking a sip of beer!
I can't stand wasps. I have a trap in my garden which is an old coffee jar with a special lid, I drop in some honey and add a little water they come swarming round that, go inside the jar and drown. It keeps them away from any food while your out in the garden. Job done.
Not trying to be funny, but just spray them with hairspray...no more wasps :) P.S. Do it in the coolest part of the day...
