I recently opened up a room in our apartment that was locked up,I wanted to make it into a bedroom,I noticed everytime I go in there to work,my face gets instantly dry feeling,I am wondering if the ceiling tiles are asbestos and if this is a symptom of asbestos in the air.none of tiles are damaged

As I understand it asbestos takes thirty to forty years to show symptoms.
Even if there was asbestos in the ceiling tile, as long as they are not broken, there is no harm. The asbestos is encapsulated.
