You can purchase a pretty good door from Home Depot for around $300 .

Here is what you have to consider when instructing a contractor to engage in the work.

He or she will have to remove your matured door, they will then hold to make a trip to the dump or estate fill to go and get rid of it, upon installation of your new door, will require the contractors skill and know-how to ensure the door functions correctly. He or she will then install the lock, and install the door trims etc, I do not know if the price includes the fine art of the trims where required, but $930 is roughly the right price for a professional installation.

Lets just cart it a stage further, the door comes from Lowes or maybe Home Depot, the contractor upon route to your house manage to put a scratch upon the door, immediately all of his profit have gone, because the door needs to be replaced. Prior to the installation, the contractor come to your house, spend time disscussing your preferences, and then took measurements and next went out on your behalf to purchase the door.

After the complete installation, let say two months enjoy passed, and the door starts to rub, or feels a bit stiff, you would not phone upon Lowes or Home Depot to rectify the problem, you would call the contractor.
