We found a little bug at our trailer park on Saturday. It was like a lady bug but was gold. what could it be?

Japanese Beetle is what you found. It should be about the size of a pencil eraser maybe a bit larger
I've seen those little guys a lot of times. I think they're just ladybugs but colored differently. Once I found a giant nest of ladybugs and there were a bunch of orange/gold ones with all the red ones.
its probably a asian or japanese beetle. we have them around our house all the time in the fall.

Asian beetles were released by scientists to eat aphides, it worked but they also have been taking over lady bugs. Asian beetles look just like lady bugs but they are yellow is orange and they can bite. The lady bug (ladybird beetle) is very similar to the asian beetle. what you found is an asian beetle, lady bird beetles are red. ( also asian beetles stink worse).
I can only hope you caught it and have been feeding it regularly. You may have found one of the rarest of all bugs! The "GOLDEN LADY" is one of the rarest bugs. If it is a "GOLDEN MANBUG" that is even better.
Lady bugs come in different colors(over a thousand different species). There are even black lady bugs with red spots. You may have seen a ladybug. Thanks for the points.
