How do you throw away a broken microwave? Do you just put it out with garbage or you have to recycle it?

I guess you could go through the trouble and recycle it but it's easiest to just throw it away in the garbage.

put a sign on it that says free and put it on the curb.
We call our trash pickup company and they pick it up as a special pickup item. Some towns charge money to do this. Same thing with old stoves, etc.
