does anyone know how to stop ants from invading humming bird feeders?

i have batteled this for years and can not come up with anything that works. help!

double sided tape wrapped around the device holding the feeder works. i use it to wrap around my fruit trees. works like a champ

you need to stop the ants from getting to it - a chalk line on cement stops ants normally maybe you can draw a thick chalk line on the stand? or try duct tape wrapped inside out around the stand sticky side out

At the top of the feeder on the hanger put a glob of grease around it. You'll never have to worry about ants all year long.
a little vicks on the hanger works pretty good for us.
