What are the pros and cons of moving to the country (rural area)?

PRO: neighbors are farther apart so the "BEE HIVE" feeling isn't there
quiet nights,mornings,evenings,
cant hear your neighbors using the bathroom, having sex ,fighting
beating their kids or spouse
green grass , pets, fenceless front yards,less crime , trees older than dirt
( great for picnics)
NO ROACHES COMMING FROM NEXT DOOR!!!
looking in the sky at night and seeing a sea of stars
two cars at the same stop sign is considered traffic
GARDEN GARDEN GARDEN i like gardens lol
with me the list goes on and on
CONS water quality i get use to red water ,toilets, shower walls mostly wells in rural areas softeners work but are expensive to own and maintain
snow removal is not gonna happen at 5 am it usually melts before the plows come by
if the plow does make it on time it usually blocks the driveway with a 6 foot wall of snow so you dig your self out either way
travel time to work and back increases if you dont work from home
again winters make it harder to get back and forth to work
night driving is a bit more risky...narrow roads and critters like deer,racoons,opossum,skunks,ra... other nocturnal beast that jumpstart your heart and make you think your gonna run off the road into a ditch..... lol
police ,fire ,and medical help takes longer to get to you.
my list of cons is shorter than pro
i love rural life and never want to live anywhere but here
i travel to the city to work and when i get home i leave the city behind and tend to my garden pet my cats kiss my wife and hug my kids. i dont have to worry about what gang my kids are going to join in 4th grade or if my cat will be poisoned by a neighbor
i walk barefoot in the summer and dress warm in the winter. i have electric, gas ,and water....food shelter love of my family...... what else would i need

I am particularly fond of not having neighbors, getting to be as noisey as I want, and my husband likes being able to pee off the front porch or in the yard (which makes me yell at him).
The cons are that you almost have to have a cat inside because mice finde a way in no matter what and sometimes trees try to fall on your house.
Pro - Fresh Country Air

, you can grow your own food with more land or have livestock, more peaceful, less chaotic.<br />
